TowBoatU.S. Comes to Drummond Island

BoatU.S. members can boat easier knowing there is a new 24-hour on-water TowBoatU.S. open in Drummond Island, Michigan. Drummond Island is the last U.S. port before Canada, located off of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It is a popular area for fishers, “Loopers” and those headed for Ontario’s North Channel. Captain Dennis Bailey runs the towing service; his primary response boat is a fully equipped 20-foot Bertram. The Drummond Island location can be reached on VHF channel 16, by calling the local office at 906-493-5232, through the BoatU.S. Dispatch Center and through the BoatU.S. Towing App. TowBoatU.S. provides unlimited freshwater towing for boaters for $72 per year, which also includes membership with BoatU.S.
