Alien Fish Hooked In Russia
Following a strong storm in the Sea of Azov, long known for its fabled mermaids, Russian fishermen from the Rostov region caught a strange creature they believe was an alien.

"There are many legends about mermaids living in the Sea of Azov," Andrei Gorodovoi, chairman of the Anomalous Phenomena Service, told Pravda. "Nevertheless, specialists of the Service for Anomalous Phenomena have never confirmed those fairytales. On the other hand, we do not deny the possibility of other forms of life in the Sea of Azov."

The fishermen's catch, described as shark-looking and emitting strange squeaky sounds, was documented with a cell phone camera, clearly showing the strange creature's head, body and tail. The Komsomolskaya Pravda reports that the creature weighed 220 pounds.

To the disappointment of cryptozoologists and actual scientists, the fishermen, deeming their monster catch to be safe, ate it. One man even described it as the most delicious fish he had ever eaten.

Alexander Lipkovich, a spokesman for the Rostov zoo, contacted ichthyologists to get their opinion on the Azov Alien. "They said that the fish bears resemblance to a sturgeon. It was an extremely interesting individual. I have never seen anything like this before in my whole life," the specialist said.
