Hotel Indigo Opens in Traverse City

21-Jun-2016

Six years after the original plans were put forward, Hotel Indigo is now open in Traverse City, Michigan. The 107-room boutique hotel features 100 standard rooms with 7 suites, and is the first new hotel built in the West Grand Traverse Bay community since 2009.

The Indigo has the usual hotel amenities, such as a fitness center, boardroom, valet parking and a banquet/meeting space that can accommodate up to 160 people. There are also two bars, one of which is on the roof of this four-story building, providing picturesque views of West Bay. The lobby restaurant — the Warehouse Kitchen + Cork — will serve menus focused on seasonal and locally-sourced foods.

The designers of Hotel Indigo decided to incorporate a bit of Traverse City’s past and present: The interior is decked out in a modern industrial/logging theme to evoke the city’s history as a logging port in the late 19th century.
